Hillsdale Furniture has twice a year warehouse sales open to consumers. This is the only time they do retail and they needed a way to track inventory, sales, and the use of promotional coupons.

Since the sales team walks the warehouse floors with the customers during these events, a tablet application was selected as the hardware.

Built on top of this was an ASP.NET web application that integrated with Hillsdale’s ERP system through the extensive use of web services. The app had features such as item lookup (through barcode scanning), shopping cart functionality, order checkout, and coupon tracking.
