ContractorGeek is web startup aimed at connecting IT contractors with local companies.
Typically, in the Louisville market, IT contractors have to go through staffing companies in order to find contracts. This is not cost effective for the contractors as much of their hourly wage goes to the staffing companies and they can only choose from positions of which they’ve been presented with. Likewise the situation is not ideal for companies as they do not necessarily get access to all available contractors. ContractorGeek.com was built to correct this problem and features a way for contractors to search for open contracts and express their interest as well as a way for companies to search for and connect directly to contractors. The site was built with ASP.NET 4.0, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, and MVC 2.0.
