Michael was educated at Morehead State University and immediately dove into a career in software development. He has been involved in projects ranging from one-person start-ups to multi-billion dollar corporations and in fields as diverse as automobile assembly, real estate development, game development, aircraft maintenance, and investment banking. His focus is on architecture and systems design, primarily on the Microsoft stack.
In an industry that is often motivated by pursuit of profit, Michael feels that the ultimate purpose of software development is to make people’s lives better. All too often, software is cumbersome, complex, and actually impedes the very work it was designed to improve. He feels that this is inexcusable and his goal is to provide quality applications that do what they promise in a manner that doesn’t get in the way of people’s goals, but aids them in achieving those goals. After 15 years, Michael is a little wiser, and a little greyer, but still passionate about his work and driven to learn and leverage the best and most powerful technologies available to make people’s lives better.
At igNew, everyone is an expert, but no one knows everything. When a problem presents itself, we brainstorm until we find the perfect solution, and the perfect solution is the only solution we intend to deliver.
